Amongst the various seets not enumerated in this section will be
noticed the Confueians who number 1,067 in Montreal, 33 in Quebee,
12 at Verdun, 8 at Hull, 12 at Sherbrooke and 15 at Three Rivers. Units
of less than ten members are not reported in detail in the census bul-
letins. Throughout the whole of the country, the enumerators registered
240 sects or different denominll,tions as against 203 in 1911 and 157 in
1901.
The proportion pel' cent among religions whieh, ,vere numerieally
important in the Dominion in 1921 is the following : Roman Catholics,
38.5i ; Presbyterians 16.04 ; Anglicans, 16.02 ; :Methodists, 13.19; other
seets, 16.18. The Oriental religions have more members in British Co-
lumbia than in all the other Canadian provinces eombined owing to the
immigration of the Asiatic races to that pll,rt of the country.
