                               1913 (cont'd)

                               These three bells rang for the flrst time (the day of their blessing) to
                               announce the death ofFather Andre AUDET, retired Priest living at
                               Mr. Clement BUJOLD's in Saint Jules Parish. Father AUDET (who
                               had been Parish Priest in Maria from 1867 to 1872) replaced Father
                               Jacob GAGNE and Father Joseph-Desire MORIN from time to time.
                               Father Andre AUDET was the uncle ofAurelie AUDET, wife of
                               Clement BUJOLD, here is his signature:

                               1921 On September 4 work was started to install a pipeline to bring
                               water to the Schoo], Presbytery and Church from a spring about
                               1000 feet (305 meters) up the Northwest Road.


                               1924 The following decree was received from the Bishop ofGaspe:
                               "...beginning on October 1, the church will no longer accept tithes in
                               grain, potatoes, or hay. Nevertheless, it will continue to accept the
                               heating supplement in fIrewood or in cash, as before..."


                               1926 Alexander LOUBERT sold a 1/4 acre (l1l0 hectare) plot of
                               land on lot number 10 to Thomas Albert CLEARY. The Parish later
                               acquired this plot of land.


                               1927 On June 30, the second Cemetery was blessed. It is situated
                               one half mile (805 meters) west ofthe Church, on lot number 9, on
                               the south side ofGallagher Road. The lot measures 138 feet (42.1
                               meters) long by 120 feet (36.6 meters) wide and was donated by
                               Father Joseph-Philias L'1TALIEN, Parish Priest 0 f Saint Jutes at the
                               time.


                               1930 On June 30 a contract was signed with the architect Pierre
                               LEVESQUE ofQuebec City for the plans for the interior renovation
                               of the Church. The contractor was Mr. Augustin GERAGHTY a
                               parishioner of Saint Jules.
