                               1947 On January 2 Mrs. Joseph LAWLIS (nee Brigitte-Louise
                               LEBLANC) donated a lot of land to the Parish.


                               On April 13 confessionals, railings, baptismal fonts, and linolewn,
                               were installed in the Church, also lightning rods on the roof, at a
                               total cost of$3000.00.


                               1948 On December] 9 the new Central School was blessed. The
                               enrolment in this School is about 130 chiIdren. Classes are held in
                               English and French from Grade 1 to Grade 8 inclusively. This school
                               replaced the five local schools of the Parish.


                               On August 21 the Sisters of the Holy Rosary of Rirnouski came to
                               take over the school. On September 24 the Chapel situated in the
                               new Central School (commonly called "Convent") was blessed.


                               1954 On January 31 the Church Wardens accepted a gift from the
                               Estate of the late Thomas MORRISSEY. This generous gift will pay
                               the entire cost ofall the seats in the Church.


                               On August 29 the new Stations of the Cross in the Church,
                               purchased at a cost of$500.00, were blessed.


                               1955 On July 17 the Church Wardens unanimously accepted the
                               following motion: "...that the Parish of Saint Jules purchase the
                               property, of46,250 square feet (4,297 square meters),~fMr. Arthur
                               LAWLIS for the sum of$400.00...". The purchase was carried out
                               on December 20.


                               On July 31 the Parish had an artesian well dug at the Presbytery. The
                               spring that had supplied water since 1921 was going dry.


                               1956 On March] 8 the Church Wardens proposed: "...that an
                               authorization be requested from His Grace Albini LeBLANC,
                               second Bishop of the diocese ofGaspe, for the purchase ofa new
                               organ for the Church, seeing that the old one is no longer repairable
