NUMBER OF CASES SUBMITTED TO DIFFERENT COURTS, IN 1925.

The five tables which follow show the nurnber of cases before the
various courts, in 1925. There were 4,233 cases subject ta trial by jury
in the Province of Quebec, in these various cases the men involved
nurnbered 3,447 and the women 786. The number of convictions for
different offences in the Province was 3,084 aga.inst men a,nd 582
agai.nst women. In table 37 will be found data concerning juvenile
delinquents. In the course of the year 1925, the tribunals of the Prov-
inre condemned 971 children for serious offenoes and 731 for minor
offences.
