                                   Samford  is  another  treasured  summer learning centre  for
                                   genealogists,  with  interesting courses  offered  for different
                                   levels, and  campus  housing. The top-notch instructors offer
                                   varied training in not only sources, but also advanced classes
                                   in strategies, techniques and analysis. Writing and publishing
                                   in  genealogy  is  just  one worthwhile  weeklong  program.

                                   The Utah  Genealogical  Association  (UGA)  sponsors  this
                                   week  in January with  reasonable  hotel  accommodation in
                                   Salt  Lake  City.  (The "year"  in  the  web  address  changes
                                   annually.)  Here  you  have  hands-on  access  to the  Family
                                   History  Library with  experienced instructors  for American
                                   sources and problem  solving. Courses and  sessions for other
                                   countries  may  be  available  in  different years.

                                   Founded  in  1961, the  Institute is  an independent  charitable
                                   trust  that  offers various  levels of study and  achievement  in
                                   certificates  or  a  diploma.  Their  highest  level  is  a
                                   Licentiateship  of The Institute of Heraldic and  Genealogical
                                   Studies  (LHG). Students have  the  option  of  attending the
                                   residential  Institute in  Canterbury, or completing the  home
