                                 Family Record of Deaths

The Bible is an original source and the evidence is direct,
but is it primary information? One should check the Bible's
publication date to see if it was published before or during
the time period covered. Handwriting differences among
the entries suggest that they were made at different times,
perhaps soon after the deaths occurred. One drawback is
that places of death are not recorded. Exact ages are a bonus,
especially if some of these people do not appear on a similar
                                page of births.

This is from the Family Record pages of a Bible in private hands. Thank
you to Katherine Orr for permission to reproduce this page.
