Published Biography
"Potted biographies" were often a feature of the county
atlas series, and information was gathered from descendants
who usually subscribed to help underwrite the cost. The
source, of course, is derivative. Since some of the pioneer's
children were still living in the same area (see "Kenneth,
unm.,"), the information about Kenneth McI<enzie Sr is
secondary, although the information about children living
at the time of publication could be primary information,
because presumably a local family member was providing
