CHARGES FOR STORAGE IN THE CUSTOM HOUSE STORES, QUEBEC.
Act 10 and 11 Victoria, Cap. 31.
Section 30.—AH charges incurred on goods for landing, cartage, storage, unpacking^
repacking, weighing or guaging, paid, in order to carry this act into effect, shall be at
the expense of the importer of such goods.
One package, at least, in each invoice to be opened, or more if necessary, and in case
of suspicion of fraud the whole to be opened.
The dues according to the annexed tariff, are to be charged and collected for goods,
&c, stored or taken into the examination warehouse at the port of Quebec. All un-
claimed goods are to be sent to the examination warehouse, and goods will be received
on storage from the parties who may wish it.
Parties cam either insure their own goods against loss by fire, or can have the value
of the same covered, by duly notifying the officer of customs of their wishes in that
respect, and paying the cost thereof.

Cartage £fhd labor, taking in, opening, unpacking, repacking, examining or guaging and
delivering, to be charged proportionably to the amount actually disbursed. All dues for
itorage to be paid before the removal of property.
N. B.—Every package stored, though it may not remain twenty-four hours, will be
liable to one month's storage.
