Charlebois, Dorinne: born at The Brook on 26 March, 1903; daughter of Anthime Charlebois and Marie-
Jeanne Dupont of Cheney. Went into the Grey Nun order 15 August, 1922. A teacher for 46 years in
Ottawa, Sudbury- and Southern Ontario.
Guidon, Andree: born 10 August, 1945, daughter ofRene Guindon and Simone Gendron. Entered the
Sister of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Ottawa in 1962. Graduated from Ottawa U. with a degree in
teaching. Was a missionary in the Cameroun; taught High School in Cornwall and other cities.
Lefebvre, Therese: born 17 May, 1938, daughter ofRent Lefebvre and Beatrice Auger. Entered the Grey
Nuns at the Mother-house on Bruyere Street in Ottawa in 1958 and professed her vows on 2 August,
1960. Graduated with a B.A. hom Ottawa U, in 1972. Has Masters in pastoral work and counseling from
St.Pau1 University and now puts this degree to use in Laurentian Hospital in Sudbury. Celebrated 25 years
in the Grey Nuns order in 1985.
St-Jean, Jacqueline: born in Hammond on 19 April 1942, daughter of Herve St-Jean and LBa Henrie.
Entered the 6e.y Nuns in Ottawa on 3 August 1966. Was a counselor in religious education. Helped in
the writing of manuals used to teach children about the Eucharist, Confession and Liturgy in general. Was
involved in summer camps for teens. In July 1979, Sister Jacqueline left Ottawa for missionary work in
Brazil. She has learned the Portuguese language, plays the guitar and sings at Mass. Since January 1987
is in Sao Paulo.
Tessier, Aurele born in Hammond on 22 April 193 1 the son of Alphonse Tessier and Maria Chartrand.
Entered the Holy Cross order as a lay brother in August 1953. Taught school in Quebec and in the U.S..
Sailed for India in October 1954 as a missionary. Since October 1986 Brother Aurhle has been in charge
of a group of four brothers in Honavar. At the same time he is the Principal of a technical school where
he teaches carpentry and welding. He comes home on leave every four or five years.
Thivierge, Simone: daughter of Maurice Thivierge and Albina Charette, she went into the Grey Nun order.
As Sister St-Maurice taught for many years in Northern Ontario, Hawkesbury and Sudbury.
Thivierge, Anne-Marie: Simone's sister, taught school for a fewyears in Ottawa, then went to Quebec City
where she entered an order of semi-cloistered nuns, the Dominicans of Christ-Jesus. She later became a
nurse and worked in various hospitals in Quebec until her retirement.
Touchette, HbIoBe: born in Clarence Creek 8 September 1892, Attended the local school and entered the
Grey Nuns in 1909; professed her vows in 191 1 and became Sister Marie-Idella for 67 years. Taught
school in Rockland, Ville-Marie and in Aylmer. Graduated as a nurse from the Ottawa General Hospital
where she tended the sick; she worked also in Shawinigan Falls, Qu. and Hawkesbury where she became
Superior. Was involved in the enlargement and renovations of Ottawa General from 1950 to 1956. Died
on 8 December, 1977.
Touchette, Claire: sister of Helo~se; born 13 September 1896. Twin of Melanie. Both girls went to the
local school house, the village school in Hammond and the Grey Nuns Novitiate in Ottawa. Both
professed their vows on 10 July 1921. Claire took the name Sister Claire of Jesus. She became a teacher
specialiing in Grammar School education; taught in Billings Bridge, L'Orignal, Mattawa and Casselman.
