About a dozen volunteer8 had been involved early in 1983:
                                                 Dr. Harold F. Powell

                                                 Robert L. Pilon

                                                 Joan J. Belanger
                                                 Lois Ann Vidolich
                                                  Stephen F. Keller
                                                 Dolores Swekel
                                                 Marge Pmery
                                                 Donald Drouillard
                                                 Mary L. Freer
                                                  Kathy M~TC~EE~O
                                                  Joan A. Dancy
                                                 Donna L. Pilon
During this verification period a small cadre of seemingly tireless
workers ~ontinued to =dine the contributions and the published work, verify
them, crorr-check the names, and prepare the revised family groups for
publi~a.ti0n. This effort lasted until the box of correspondence slowly
emptied. During this period of time Robert L. Pilon waa named Editor of the
Denireen Revision, Stephen F. Keller was named Assistant Editor, with Dolores
Swekel, Marge Pmery, Doma L. Pilon, and Joan Belanger the most active of the
                          volunteers.
A broad list of consistencies of format were checked, comparing the 1976
working draft with the new version. When necessary, the Burton Staff was
asked to bring up the hand-typed set of Denissen manuscripts from the 1930's
to check further. Even then a handful of inconsistencies persisted, with
February 30th showing up and other hard-to-believe dater. The copier to be
rent to the word processor seemed to have as lrmch red ink am black ink, and
more corrections ware made later. The hours spent in this endeavor might not
yet have created a perfect version, but a great step forward has been made.
Those active in the proofreading worked under the supervision of Stephen F.
Keller, Assistant Editor, and his able Lieutenants, Dolores Swekel and Harge
                          Emery:
