Executor's Petition
An estate file for the deceased normally contains at least
one legally sworn document that states the date and place
of death. In this regard, the petition for probate made by an
executor or would-be administrator is an original source
with primary information and direct evidence. If a death
registration is not available, this fills an essential gap in the
individual's BMD data.
